Pregnant python gets trapped under kitchen door and has to be rescued by firefighters


Firefighters handled an uncommon call-out in Dorset this week, as they discovered themselves releasing a trapped snake.

Firefighters from Dorset and Wiltshire Hearth and Rescue Service had been despatched to a property in Bournemouth to discover a pregnant python wedged beneath a door.

The crew managed to free the pet animal from underneath the kitchen door unhurt.

Sherborne Hearth Station shared an image of the incident on Fb, displaying a hydraulic tool getting used to assist free the trapped python.

A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Hearth and Rescue Service mentioned: “We acquired a name at 1.59am on Thursday morning concerning a pet snake that had gotten herself trapped underneath a door.

“A crew from Springbourne went to the property on Melbourne Street, Bournemouth and located a pregnant feminine Python wedged beneath a kitchen door.

“Firefighters used small tools and a hydraulic door opener to take away the door and free her – the cease got here at 02.24am.

“She was unhurt.”
